Jamie Clarke is a professional Deaf Champion League Soccer player and Model.

Jamie is a celebrated soccer player in the Deaf Champion League.  After being one of the first patients to receive a cochlear implant at age six, Jamie attended mainstream schools through college, where he launched his professional soccer career.  Jamie is currently the captain of the team for Great Britain, where he holds the record for top goal scorer in league history.  He has participated in the World Cup, the Olympics, and the European Championships.

Deaf Football in Great Britain has a very proud and strong history, dating back to 1871, a history that is virtually unknown to the majority of the followers of football in Britain. Deaf Football clubs have been around longer than the majority of all the teams in the English and Scottish Football League pyramid. Great Britain boasts the oldest deaf football club in the world in Glasgow Deaf Athletic Football Club, founded in 1871. Glasgow Deaf Athletic Football Club is one of the oldest clubs in the world, set up only eleven years after Sheffield FC — known to be the first football club in the world. Glasgow Deaf Athletic Football Club was established before famous clubs such as Rangers FC (1873), Celtic (1881) and Manchester United (1878).

I play football/soccer 3/4 times a week.. I’m the captain of England and Great Britain Deaf Football - I play in World Cup, European Championships & Deaflympics. I also like to do other sports like cricket, swimming, table tennis, darts etc (they’re my hobbies) I have passion for travelling, I love going outside of England. I’m profoundly deaf so i also do sign language, i can do international sign language as well as ASL. (American Sign Language)
